Maruku

I wonder if esok I akan dapat muruku dari jiran selang 4 rumah I tu. Dulu-dulu, every year, time Deepavali mesti Aci tu kasi muruku dia kat famili I, and bila raya mak I pasti akan bagi kuih raya yang sedap kepada mereka pula.

I juga ingat, masa kecik-kecik dulu, I dengan anak-anak jiran I pergi beraya di rumah Aci tu. "Jangan risau, ayam ni halal saya beli kat supermarket", kata laki Aci I tu. Tapi tu dulu lah, zaman-zaman I belum mimpi basah lagi.

Tak tahulah kenapa bila dah besar, semua tu hilang.

Kadang-kadang I heran, kenapa all the good things must come to an end.

Dan Choyaya, permisi ye I pinjam ayat you menulis blog membahasakan diri I-You ni. Hehe

Happy Deepavali, semua!!

theblabber: Dedikasi lagu All The Good Things Come To an End by Nelly Furtado kepada semua di pagi raya ini. Enjoy!

My next neighbour is an Indian family. Alhamdulillah, we still practice the old tradition of exchanging food and visiting each others house during the festivals. Like you, I used to get muruku, vadey, red jelly, laddu etc every year on Deepavali eve.Sometimes we yell from the kitchen and ask 'masak ape tu?'.You are right,we never get to see things like this anymore, semakin hari, semakin pupus ditelan dek arus kemodenan.
